A TEENAGE boy has been threatened and robbed of his e-scooter by an unknown man in Basingstoke on Wednesday afternoon (July 27).

The incident happened at around 2.45pm on Cherry Tree Walk in Basingstoke.

According to police, the boy was approached by the man which followed a short exchange between the pair.

The man then threatened the teenager, demanding his e-scooter in the process.

The boy complied and handed over the item before the man fled the scene on a bicycle.

Police are now appealing for witnesses, or anyone to come forward about the incident.

The man is believed to be black, 19 years old, approximately 5ft 9ins tall with black hair.

Detective Constable Emily Sargent, said: “We have carried out initial enquiries, but keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time and who could hold information which may assist our investigation.

“Did you see anything? Perhaps you have dash-cam or mobile phone footage?

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting crime reference number 44220302372.”
