NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to nine of Basingstoke and Deane’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

The following ratings have been given to two restaurants, cafes or canteens:

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

• Rated 5: Starbucks A303 Popham Eastbound at Popham Starbucks, Coxford Down, Micheldever, Winchester; rated on July 13

• Rated 5: Elai at 1 Anchor Court, 28 London Street, Basingstoke, rated on June 24

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And four ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:

• Rated 5: The Queen Inn at Down Street, Dummer, Basingstoke, rated on June 29

• Rated 5: The White Hart at White Hart, London Road, Basingstoke, rated on June 29

• Rated 5: The Vine At Hannington at The Vine Inn, Hannington, Tadley, rated on June 28

• Rated 5: Whitchurch Cricket Club at Church Street, Whitchurch, rated on June 28

Takeaways

Plus three ratings for takeaways:

• Rated 5: Mariners Fish And Chips at 9 High Street, Overton, Basingstoke, rated on July 6

• Rated 5: Cromwell Tandoori at Cromwell Indian, Great Binfields Road, Lychpit, Basingstoke; rated on July 4

• Rated 5: Chopstix Chinese Take Away at 4 Queens Parade, New Street, Basingstoke, rated on June 30
