FED up with feeling unwelcome and judged at mother and baby classes, a mum from Hampshire has set up her own - and is inviting parents to join her as she launches in two new locations.

Trinity Kimber started running Bloom Baby Classes in Basingstoke in October 2019.

The sensory sessions, which help with baby development, have picked up multiple awards and have grown in popularity.

Now Trinity is expanding her empire and is about to launch new classes in Winchester and Andover.

Trinity said: “I've been successfully running classes in Basingstoke for nearly three years and even with the pandemic and the birth of my second child the classes have gone from strength to strength.

"I currently have parents travel from Alton, Andover, Newbury, Reading and Farnborough to attend my classes in Basingstoke so I thought it was about time I branched out and brought my classes more local to new families.

“I'm hoping parents will feel comfortable, enjoy coming and just take a break from the day to day and enjoy a quality 45 minutes with their newborn.

“It's more than just a baby class. It's welcoming you by name, sharing the highs and lows and watching your baby develop.”

Winchester and Andover will be offering classes for babies aged six weeks to 15 months. The sessions aim to support a baby's physical, emotional, cognitive and social development and encourage learning. Each session includes a different theme, set to the Bloom soundtrack.

Recently, Trinity was awarded runner up in the Best Parent Run Business category in Hampshire’s Little Ankle Biters awards.

Looking back on when she first got involved, Trinity said: “My sister, who lives in Manchester, attended Bloom classes local to her and would constantly send through adorable pictures of my niece and chat about the friends she had made at class.

“I never attended baby groups with my son. I always got the impression of them being clicky, feeling left out and judged as a new mum.

"I looked into Bloom classes and was instantly attracted to the non-judgemental atmosphere and the fact each activity is explained so you know exactly what you are doing and why the activity benefits baby and parent.”
