SUMMER is looking bright for one lucky single dad from Basingstoke after scooping an almost £20,000 prize.

Nathan Jones, 31, was left speechless when BOTB’s Sean Hall turned up at his front door to tell him that as this week’s Midweek Lifestyle Winner he’s not only £15,000 richer but he’s also heading off on a luxury holiday to the Caribbean.

“I don’t believe it,” he said. “This is crazy!”

The father-of-two, who paid just 70p for his ticket to enter, explained he’s not been on holiday for five years.

“We’ve had a tricky few years with Covid and family issues,” he said. “This money will help us get back on our feet.”

Nathan is a single father to two young boys and although currently unemployed, he is trained as a fibre optics engineer.

“We all celebrated our birthdays in May,” he added. “But we didn’t have much money to celebrate, I think some late birthday presents are definitely in order.

“My car has recently broken down, too, so the cash will come in handy for that. I’m thinking about getting a campervan for us to use for holidays.”

All he had to do to enter the Midweek Lifestyle Competition was answer a skilled question, he was then randomly selected from all the correct entries.

BOTB hands over the keys to one stunning car each week as well as the lifestyle prize. Other recent winners have bagged a quad bike, a top gaming bundle and a top Rolex watch.

The company was founded by William Hindmarch in 1999 and has given away more than £47million worth of cars so far.

Sean, who is part of the team surprising BOTB winners each week, said: “Nathan sounds like a really deserving winner and I was thrilled to be the one to give him the good news. He sounds like he has some great plans for the cash!”
