POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle collision on the A339 on Saturday (April 30).

The incident happened in the early evening in the Burkham area, with the motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, travelling in the Basingstoke direction.

At the time, two motorcycles had been riding in convoy, when one left the carriageway.

The man suffered injuries to his head, chest, hand, pelvis and leg, and was taken to hospital where he remains.

Enquiries into the exact circumstances of the collision are ongoing.

Officers are keen to speak with anyone who may have information which will assist them, particularly anyone with dash cam footage.

Mark Hill from Bracknell was one of the first on the scene.

He said: "When we came around the corner and saw it we immediately pulled over. My friend and I didn't even talk, we just went to the man and started directing traffic."
