PHARMACIES in and around Basingstoke are changing their hours over the bank holiday and we have rounded up some of them.
Several pharmacies are either closing their doors or working reduced hours for the May Day Bank Holiday tomorrow (May 2).
This information comes from the NHS, which has published the opening times of pharmacies across Hampshire over the May bank holiday weekend.
Members of the public are advised to contact their pharmacy before attending to ensure they are open and have the medication required. You can also visit www.nhs.uk/service-search/pharmacy/find-a-pharmacy to find a pharmacy near you.
Dr Nicola Decker, Clinical Leader for NHS Hampshire, Southampton and Isle of Wight Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “Your local pharmacies are an invaluable resource and important part of the NHS care offer.
“They provide expert advice about over-the-counter medicines to treat common health conditions - as well as advice on medication and a range of other services.
“Pharmacists are trained to advise you whether you need to see a GP, nurse or other healthcare professional and can also provide health and wellbeing advice.”
