GUY Jewell Cup holders Hook and Newnham Basics A will start this year’s defence against their own B team at May’s Bounty on Tuesday May 17, writes Graham Merry.
The other three first round games in the T20 competition will see Old Basing face last season’s Trophy winners Andover on Monday May 23.
Monday June 6 will see Odiham and Greywell take on Rotherfield Park.
Seven days later, Basingstoke and North Hants battle it out with Hartley Wintney.
The opening game in the Cyril Thompson Trophy is on Tuesday May 3 which is an all Oakley clash between their A and B teams.
The rest of the draw for the first round is as follows Whitchurch v East Woodhay (Monday May 9), St Marys v Yateley (Tuesday May 10), Stratfield Turgis and Hartley Westpall v Ramsdell (Monday May 16), Chawton v Kingsclere (Tuesday May 24), Aldermaston Rugby v Rotherwick ITW (Monday May 30), Basingstoke Hockey v Ashford Hill (Tuesday May 31) and Overton v Herriard (Tuesday June 7).
All the games will be played at May’s Bounty and start at 6pm.
