DRIVERS in and around Basingstoke and Deane will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A27, from 8pm March 7 to 6am April 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34, A308M, A404, A303, A31, A3M, A3, A27, M4, M27, M271 and M3 whole lengths, mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And a further six closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A303, from 8pm April 21 to 6am April 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Bullington to Overton, Lane closure for Virgin media works.

• A34, from 8pm April 21 to 6am April 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound, Beacon Hill, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via National Highways network.

• A34, from 8pm April 25 to 6am April 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound, Tot Hill, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via National Highways network.

• M3, from 8pm April 26 to 6am April 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): Black Dam Link Road northbound, Lane closures for traffic light repairs.

• M3, from 8pm April 29 to 6am April 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 6 to 5, Lane closures for resurfacing.

• A303, from 8pm April 29 to 6am April 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound and A303 westbound, Bullington, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via National Highways network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
