WHAT started as a small collection around a Basingstoke office for donations to the Ukraine has turned into a big operation.

It all started on March 4 when Absolutely Offices sent an email around to its clients saying that they were collecting for the Ukrainian appeal and if they had any of the items listed there would be a collection point in reception.

Skip forward four weeks and the business already has offices full of supplies for Ukraine which have been sorted labelled in English and Ukranian and then checked by the Ukranian Embassy and loaded into lorries each week.

The business has said that more is now needed and it is busy trying to find contracts lorries to take these items and more to the Ukraine.

The lorries will be going in a convey along with some fully-kitted out ambulances which have been full funded by individuals in the UK.

The office space and services are now being challenged again, with part of Jameson House now being redeveloped from a vaccine centre to a distribution centre for supplies to the Ukraine.

Absolutely Offices have released a revised list of donations for Ukraine, which includes:

- formula dry milk powder for newborns

- dry food, canned food

Items can be dropped off in Grove House reception between 9.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
