A TEACHING assistant from Odiham may be swapping her pen for gold medals when she heads to an international sporting event.

Sally Renard, 46, who now works at Buryfields Infant School, is a former RAF corporal, who was medically downgraded after an accident while on tour in Afghanistan.

She will be heading to The Hague next month as part of the UK team for the fifth Invictus Games, which is a sporting event for wounded servicemen and women.
