A BRA bank will be hosted at a church in Basingstoke to raise money and awareness for breast cancer.

St Mary’s Church Old Basing and Lychpit will be kindly hosting a pink ‘Against Breast Cancer’ bra bank in the coming month.

Residents are encouraged to pop their unwanted bras into the church lobby bra bank between 10am and 4pm in April.

The aim of the bra bank is to raise vital funds for breast cancer research. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the UK with one woman diagnosed every 10 minutes. Around 55,000 women and 370 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK.

The bra bank has been organise do behalf of Against Breast Cancer.

The same bras also help to support small businesses in developing countries in Africa and around the world. They are given a new lease of life in countries such as Togo, Ghana and Kenya.
