A passenger on a Hampshire-bound cruise ship has 'fallen overboard', with a search and rescue mission carried out.
The guest on Virgin Voyages' Valiant Lady was reported to have fallen from the ship on Thursday.
An 'extensive' search was then carried out. The man has yet to be found.
The cruise ship, which was off the coast of Portugal at the time, docked in Portsmouth yesterday.
In a statement, the firm confirmed its investigation indicates "this was an intentional act and that no foul play is suspected."
It added: "In the early hours of the morning, we were informed of a man overboard, which has resulted in a search and rescue mission.
"We’re deeply saddened by this news and our thoughts are with their family and loved ones.
"We remain in constant communication with the search and rescue teams, and are working closely together to do everything that we can in this situation."
