A BASINGSTOKE shopping centre is inviting visitors to come face-to-face with an African lion, Bengal tiger, and a giant panda this Easter.

Festival Place will host the BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise model trail from April 8-19, giving people the chance to learn about endangered animals from around the world.

BRICKLIVE has used hundreds of thousands of brightly coloured bricks to hand build 15 models, which also include an orangutan, macaw, dolphin and snow leopard.

Festival Place is inviting explorers to track these incredible animals through wildlands, across snow and ice, over the ocean and through the jungle. They can record their adventures at jeep and ice cap selfie zones.

Each model will have an information stand with facts about the animal alongside the number of bricks used to build the statue and how long it took.

A trail map will lead families around the centre to find as many models as they can and be in with the chance of winning a day out at Festival Place for four people, including tickets to Flip Out, a meal at Five Guys and tickets to see a film of their choice at Vue Cinema. Maps will be available to collect from the Customer Lounge or can be downloaded via the website.

Events and community manager Sian Fisher said: “We’re very excited to offer this wild experience to all our visitors throughout the Easter holidays.

“This fantastic tour around the world to discover these endangered animals is both fun and educational, and the Bricklive sculptures really are incredible.

“After tracking down all the animals, there are plenty of shops, restaurants and leisure facilities to discover, making Festival Place the perfect destination for a family day out this Easter.”
