FURTHER works are set to close part of the newly opened M27 Smart Motorway.

Highways England says surfacing work will take place over March and April.

They say they will "we carry out this work overnight or at weekends to minimise the impact on road users".

Just last month the road works for the smart motorway were finally cleared away. The scheme has now entered a new phase of testing and calibrating the new technology that helps road users. A 60mph limit remains in place while this is carried out.
