Hartley Wintney remain on the fringes of the relegation zone as their poor away form continued at Swindon Supermarine.

The home side gained an edge in play in the opening period and on seven minutes Conor McDonagh created a chance for Harry Spalding who shot over the crossbar.

After a period of continuous Marine pressure they went ahead on 21 minutes. A long ball from the left found Ryan Campbell free on the right. Campbell cut in and shot home from the edge of the penalty area. (1-0)

Marine continued to dominate and the Hartley defence were forced into a number of last ditch clearances. Swindon Supermarine should have added to their lead on 36 minutes. A fast break from a Hartley corner saw an incisive ball to Kieran Phillips in the clear and the Marine striker shot wide. The chances continued to arrive for the home side and a corner from James Edge on the left was headed wide from close range by Thomas Sharpe.

On the stroke of half time Hartley finally recorded an effort when a Tom Leggett cross from the right was headed over by Mikey Campbell.

Hartley started the second period briskly and were level within a minute. A through ball found Tom Leggett on the right. Leggett cut back to Harry Cooksley who created space for himself before firing home a low shot from the edge of the penalty area. (1-1).

Parity lasted just two minutes as the Marine re-took the lead on 48 minutes. A move down the right ended with a cross which Conor McDonagh headed over Luke Williams in the Row goal and into the net. (2-1)

The introduction of Hartley substitute Josh Webb saw a considerable shift in the balance of play. On 61 minutes Webb and Cooksley combined well to pass to Leggett, who saw his fierce shot saved by Martin Horsell in the Marine goal.

Hartley continued to press and following a corner Cooksley crossed to Kofi Halliday who shot over the crossbar from close range. Jordan Edwards fashioned a chance for himself but Horsell managed to save his parting effort.

Non-stop Row pressure finally earned reward on 76 minutes. A corner from Cooksley on the left was headed goalwards by Matt Drage then Edwards. The Marine managed to stop the ball on the line but Adam Allen was on hand to score from close range. (2-2)

With their tails up Hartley pressed for the winner. However they were undone by a fast break from the home side which resulted in the winning goal. The breakaway was down the right and an inside pass found Harry Williams who shot home from the edge of the penalty area. (3-2)
