MEMBERS of a sewing group have been enjoying coming together and making new friends.

The Simply Sewing group is part of the Old Basing U3a groups, which are all organised by members of the organisation, supported by a central committee, which bring them together every month at Queen Mary’s College.

Members of the sewing group can be seen happily chatting to each other and sharing their finished pieces of work.

The Od Basing U3a gets together people who are no longer working full time or are raising a family and gives them a chance to develop their interests and make new friends.

There are currently groups running including gardening, board games, creative writing, croquet, badminton, art and many many more.
