THE Basingstoke Women’s Equality Party (WE) branch has been busy celebrating their third anniversary.
WE Basingstoke kicked celebrations off with members and supporters coming together at the Holly Blue Pub in Hatch Warren and Beggarwood to celebrate the anniversary and the national party’s seventh anniversary.

Priya Brown, local elections candidate for Eastrop and Grove, said: “It’s an exciting time for us in Basingstoke as WE won our campaign to get Basingstoke council White Ribbon accredited to push forward on efforts to end violence against women and girls.
“WE have also made huge progress in our campaign to ensure schools are given national help to address unequal sports participation and access as well as our calls to make sure intersectional inequity is understood and ensures the borough tackles climate change in a fair and accessible way.”
