A SINGLE decker bus carrying passengers crashed into a ditch near South Warnborough today following a road traffic collision.

Emergency services were called to the incident earlier today (March 14) on Alton Road.

A spokesperson from Hampshire Police, said: "We were called at 1.37pm today to reports of a single-decker bus which had gone into a ditch on Alton Road, South Warnborough, Hook.

"Six people were on board. No serious injuries have been reported."

The bus was carrying six people but no injuries have been reported.

A spokesperson from South Central Ambulance Service, added: "We were called at 13:32 to a collision on Alton Road. We sent to the scene one ambulance crew who were assessing people at the scene and no one required hospital treatment."

Crews from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were also on scene.

They added: "Alton, Basingstoke, Redbridge and Cosham firefighters were sent to Alton Road, South Warnborough at 13:31 this afternoon.

"The crews were called to provide scene safety following road traffic collision involving two vehicles.

"With no casualties trapped, HIWFRS left the scene following the stop message at 13:57."
