Thieves attacked a man when they broke into a property in Watford before fleeing with rings and a watch.

Hertfordshire Constabulary is investigating the robbery, which happened in Wellstones around 8.30pm on Saturday, January 22.

The force says several people had forced their way into an address before assaulting a man in his 20s who was inside.

They then stole items from the address including an 18ct Submariner Rolex watch, a white gold star-shaped diamond ring, two further white gold rings, and several pairs of designer trainers.

Police believe the thieves left the area in a white or silver Mercedes or BMW, which was waiting in the car park off Wellstones before it was driven the wrong way down the one-way street.

Detectives have recently acquired images of three men they would like to identify as part of their investigation.
