A NEW exhibition space for young artists to display their work to the public has opened in a unique location.
The Arts Society Basingstoke is working with South Western Railway to create an exhibition space for young artists.
Local schools and colleges will be invited to contribute artwork to the waiting rooms on platforms one and four at Basingstoke Railway Station.
A spokesperson said: “We hope this will enhance the travelling experience of passengers as well as celebrate the achievements of young people.”
On Tuesday last week students from BCOT visited the station to see their work on display for the first time. They have been working on a series of prints inspired by their visit to the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford.
