A GROUP of councillors are calling for major improvements to Basingstoke’s GP system.

Labour councillors have accused the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) responsible for GP surgeries of letting residents down.

It comes as some residents had reported waiting three hours on the phone to get through to their surgery while others had given up trying to book an appointment.

The group has now launched a survey asking for residents to give their feedback on GP surgeries in the town.
