A BASINGSTOKE man has been fined hundreds of pounds for failing to give police information relating to the driver of a vehicle.
A white Volkswagen was captured in Chartwell Close, Greenford, London, on December 9, 2020. Richard Joseph, of Greshwin Road, was required to give information relating to the identification of the driver but failed to do so.
The 41-year-old previously denied the offence but changed his plea at a hearing on January 21 at Lavender Hill Magistrates’ Court.
Magistrates fined Joseph £250 and endorsed his licence with six points. He must also pay £85 court costs and a £34 victim surcharge.
Another offence of exceeding a 40mph speed limit in contravention of a local traffic order was dismissed as no evidence was offered.
