A BASINGSTOKE man has been banned from driving after he was caught speeding on the M6 at Preston.
Nelpah Flanigan, 69, was captured on the northbound carriageway driving a Renault Laguna above the 70mph speed limit on May 15, last year. Court records do not state how fast Flanigan, of Meadow Road, was driving.
Magistrates in Preston fined Flanigan £660 and banned him from driving for six months. He must also pay £90 court costs and a £66 victim surcharge.
The case was proved through Single Justice Procedure where a magistrate judges the case on the basis of the papers alone without either party having to attend court for a hearing.
