A BASINGSTOKE woman has been sent to prison for nearly two years after withdrawing more than £95,000 from her mother’s bank account without permission.
Emma Pamela Ireland, of May Place House, committed the fraud over a period of less than a year.
The 22-year-old withdrew a total of £95,113.84 between September 2019 and July 2020 from the bank account of her mother, Jackie Ireland.
Appearing at Winchester Crown Court on Thursday (January 27), Ireland was handed a 22 month prison sentence by Judge Susan Evans QC.
She must also pay a surcharge £156 and a confiscation order was made, which means she must either pay £1 or serve one day of additional imprisonment.
