FIREFIGHTERS rescued a man who was locked in a building in the Viables area of Basingstoke yesterday (Saturday, January 22).
One fire engine from Basingstoke was called to a property in Jays Close at 3.36pm on Saturday and released one man who had been locked in.
The crew left to return to station at 4pm.
Posting to Twitter, the Basingstoke on-call team of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service wrote that they were on standby while Basingstoke crews attended the scene.
