A charity shop in the city centre is shut today due to 'staff shortages'.

British Heart Foundation, on New Canal, Salisbury, closed yesterday and continues to be shut today (Thursday, January 20).

The shop sells clothing, shoes and accessories and books to help fund research into heart conditions.

Elkie Woodbridge, Regional Director South for the British Heart Foundation, said: “The Salisbury British Heart Foundation shop is closed today, due to staff shortages.

"We apologise to the local community for any inconvenience and look forward to welcoming customers and donors back in the coming days.
