IT'S the stunning Grade II listed historic Hampshire home which can now cater for any event under the sun.

Norman Court in West Tytherley can host anything from an intimate picnic for two in the woods to a music festival for tens of thousands.

Close to the Wiltshire border, the building dates back to the 17th Century and was once owned by the founder of Barings Bank, as well as being the former home of sewing machine magnates The Singers.

Previously a school, it has been mainly used for educational and training events in recent years.

But now, Norman Court Ed Centre is diversifying into events.

Guests have already enjoyed a spooky treasure hunt through the Forest at Halloween and a rather spectacular Santa's Grotto event this Christmas just gone.

Daily Echo:

The South of England Fire Show is already in the diary, along with mushroom foraging events, birthdays and even a strong man competition.

Events coordinator Kate Stainton is now taking bookings for weddings and events of all shapes and sizes.

She told the Daily Echo: "It's just the most amazing place for a wedding or any event come to that.

Daily Echo:

"It's a blank canvas, stunning, but a blank canvas. At Christmas we created a Santa's Grotto by decorating a 40ft long walkway with things we'd foraged from the woods and spraying them white for a winter wonderland.

"We can do that sort of thing for any bespoke event. We don't want a conveyor belt of weddings like some venues. We will take the time to plan and put on really exceptional events.

"The entrance hall is stunning and we have some phenomenal spaces in the orangery, library bar and elsewhere. That's not to mention the verandah, outdoor pool and 43 acres of parkland and woodland.

Daily Echo:

"The opportunities are endless."

Norman Court also boasts exceptional sports facilities, an array of different rooms in the Manor House with so many uses, glamping and camping, dormitories, a cafe and a commercial kitchen. Modern bunkhouses can sleep up to 120.

Various parts of the building are rented out for a holistic hideout, a health, wellbeing and peak performance centre and the creation of a mental health podcast.

Daily Echo:

Salisbury Football Club use some of the football pitches and an artist in residence is coming on board to showcase her work.
