A WOMAN has been killed in a serious collision on A303 near Andover last night (January 6).

The woman in her 50s died following a crash involving a pedestrian and a car.

According to police, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “Police were called just after 10pm following a collision involving a pedestrian and car.

 “Sadly, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family are being supported by specialist officers.

 “Officers investigating the circumstances of the collision are keen to hear from anyone who can assist their enquiries.

“If you witnessed the incident, or have dash cam footage from the incident or moments prior to it, then please call 101, quoting the reference 44220007215.”
