A CONVENIENCE store in Oakley is closed this morning after a suspected ram raid overnight.
The Oakley Lane Co-Op store was hit in the early hours of Wednesday morning (December 29), with severe damage to the front of the store.
The store's area manager, Dipen Thaker, confirmed to The Gazette that there was an attempted break in where a cash machine was targeted.
Police are on the scene and the store is closed.
Hampshire Constabulary have been contacted for more information.
Pictures from the scene show the glass at the front of the store smashed and the door hanging off.
Police have taped off the store front, with the store manager working with police officers.
Residents of Oakley Lane reported on social media that they heard commotion at around 3am.
