FIVE people have been arrested and charged following an alleged attempted burglary in Basingstoke last week.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Police, said: “Just after 6.20pm on Thursday, 16 December officers stopped a car travelling southbound on the A30, near the junction 7 of the M3.
“Five people were arrested and subsequently charged.”
The charges all relate to an alleged attempted burglary at an address in Blue Hut Way.
Michael Mcdonagh, 33, of no fixed abode, has been charged with attempted burglary, driving a motor vehicle dangerously, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, failing to stop for a constable and using a motor vehicle on a road without insurance.
The four other people involved were charged with attempted burglary.
They include:
- Cornelius Mcdonagh, 22, of Ellands Road, Bury St Edmunds
- Edward Mcdonagh, 24 of no fixed abode
- Simon Doherty, 19, of New Barns Avenue, Ely, Cambridgeshire
- A 17-year-old boy from Bury St Edmunds
