CHRISTMAS is a time of joy and cheer, but for many, it can be difficult especially when a little one is in hospital during the festive period.

To show awareness of these young patients and the NHS staff that care for them, every year Basingstoke-based toiletries brand for young families, Childs Farm, donates a large selection

of gifts including bubble bath, hand cream and moisturisers to its local hospitals.

The presents from Childs Farm will be equally distributed to hospitals in Basingstoke, Winchester, Andover and Alton. The products, which are made with natural origin ingredients to help those with dry, sensitive and eczema-prone skin, will be donated to the neonatal,

maternity and children’s wards, to spread a little comfort and joy amongst patients who need it the most, and to thank frontline workers for all their amazing work.

In addition, they will also be donating Childs Farm colouring books and packs of colouring pencils for all the children to enjoy.

The Childs Farm team will deliver the gifts to Basingstoke hospital on Monday, December 13.

Joanna Jensen, founder of Childs Farm, said: “Christmas in hospital can be a challenge, so at this time of year we like to remember those little ones – and new ones! - who aren’t at home with family and friends, to give a little bit of Childs Farm Christmas cheer to

them.”

Wendy Slocombe, executive assistant at Hampshire Hospitals, added: “We’re so grateful to Childs Farm and their wonderfully kind and generous donations.

“Everyone is so overwhelmed by the incredible effort being made by the team to deliver the products, and patients and staff will be delighted to receive such gorgeous gifts.”
