THE Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow in Basingstoke, as Storm Arwen hit the UK.

The yellow weather warning comes into force at midnight tonight, and remains in place until 10am on Saturday, November 27.

Whilst most areas will see spells of rain there is a small chance of this turning to snow on Saturday morning leading to some disruption.

A further yellow weather warning for wind is also in place, between 12am and 6pm on Saturday.

High winds may cause some travel disruption and damage, and residents are warned to take care when making essential journies, and prepare for power cuts in some areas.
