WE are delighted to offer you the chance to win tickets to see Beauty and The Beast, this year’s Gazette-sponsored pantomime at The Anvil.

Beauty and The Beast, at The Anvil from December 9, is filled with everything you want from a pantomime - larger-than-life characters, side-splitting comedy, lavish costumes, spectacular scenery, and an award-winning script.

The captivating tale tells how Belle finds herself imprisoned in a bewitched castle by a Prince who has been transformed into a hideous beast by an evil sorceress. As the petals fall from the enchanted rose, can The Beast change his selfish ways, and can Belle see beyond his appearance and fall in love with her captor? Will The Beast return to the world he once knew and win the hand of the girl who has melted his heart?

The Anvil welcomes Joe McFadden in the lead role as Prince/Beast.

Joe is best known for his roles as PC Joe Mason in Heartbeat and as Raf Di Lucca in Holby City. He won the 2017 series of the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Joe will be joined on stage by Basil Brush’s Mr Stephen Chris Pizzey, who is excited to be returning to The Anvil for more gags and silliness as Louis La Plonk. Chris is best known for his role as Mr Stephen in the BAFTA nominated The Basil Brush Show.

Nick Wilton, who since 2008 has played the Market Inspector Mr Lister in EastEnders, is dame Polly La Plonk. Nick has made numerous stage, pantomime and television appearances, and appeared as Nurse Nelly in Sleeping Beauty at The Anvil in 2010.

For your chance to win one of the two family tickets (a family ticket is for 4 people) to the 2pm performance on Sunday, December 12, answer the following question:
