AN OAKLEY road will be closed for a night as part of rail bridge inspection works for Battledown Bridge, it has been announced.
All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along Pack Lane in Oakley for one night after December 13.
The diversion will be in place for the road approximately 1.02km west of Kempshott Lane to the junction with Pack Lane west for 70m.
According to the Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, the closure is to enable rail bridge inspection works.
A road closure notice by the council said they are satisfied that traffic on the road should be restricted or prohibited because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road.
The diversion will be directed by traffic signs. Buckskin Lane, Worting Road and Fox Lane are the alternate routes for diversion.
Although the order will be in place for three months from December 13, the officials will need only one night from 9pm to 5am for rail bridge inspection works.
