THE festive season at Whitchurch Silk Mill will be packed full of events, activities for all to enjoy this year.

For the first time, the Mill will be hosting a Christmas Market for a full weekend on December 4 and 5. With stallholders across both lawns offering a wide range of crafts, gifts and tasty delights there will be something for all.

The ‘Whitchurch Singing for Fun’ choir will be treating everyone to carol singing both days at 2pm and there will be children’s activities to keep the little ones entertained.

Alongside the Christmas market, Ragged Life will be leading a Rag Rug Wreath workshop on December 5, a great way to create your own sustainable Christmas wreath, reusing old textiles that you can display year after year.

To continue the festive fun, The Weaver’s Arms, the Mill’s very own pop-up pub, will be making a special one-off return on Friday December. 10.

With Santa’s visit not too far away, the Baby and Children’s preloved and Gift Sale on December 11 will be ideal for stocking up on those stocking fillers. A perfect opportunity to have a declutter before Christmas, stalls are still available.

Alongside these special events, the Mill will offer plenty of opportunities to get ready for Christmas.

Starting on the November 27 with the opening of the Made in the Hood exhibition.

A talented group of North Hampshire artists, makers and craftspeople will be showcasing a wide range of work from glassware to ceramics, jewellery and textiles, all on offer as tempting gifts ready for Christmas.

Last but not least, the wonderful shop and cafe will be serving up some tasty treats and stunning silk in the form of fabulous giftware and sumptuous scarves, so be sure to visit the Mill over the festive period.#
