POLICE have issued a witness appeal after a public order incident in Basingstoke.

Officers were called to the junction of Cleeve Road and Appleton Road at around 10.20am yesterday (Saturday, November 13) to reports of two men in an altercation.

According to police, it was also reported that one of the men has threatened the other with a weapon.

The first man is described as mixed race, in his late teens to early 20s, around 5ft 10ins tall, with dark hair. He was wearing dark clothing with a logo on his chest.

The other man is described as being white, in his late teens, with blonde hair. He was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a white t-shirt.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “We are appealing for witnesses after a public order incident in Basingstoke.

“Were you in the area at the time? Perhaps you saw the two men or know who they are?
