A CHARITY is raising money to help a terminally ill Basingstoke woman fulfil her last wish for this Christmas.

The woman, in her 50s, from Basingstoke will be celebrating her last Christmas this year.

One of her last wishes is to have a Christmas-themed party on a boat with her loved ones.

Bucket List Wishes, a charity that helps terminally ill adults throughout the South of England fulfil their last wishes, is helping her achieve this wish.

The boat party is being planned at Henley in Oxfordshire on Friday, December 10, and will be attended by 15 close relatives.

Gini Hackett, the founder of Bucket List Wishes charity, says she is looking for local businesses, companies, suppliers and well-wishers to help her with donations and contributions.

“This will be our wish lady’s last Christmas,” Gini told the Gazette.

“She would love a Christmas-themed party on a boat with her closest loved ones as her final wish.

“So, we’re looking to make this Christmas wish as special as possible.”

The charity is looking for a Santa, 15 Christmas gift hampers, Christmassy drinks –both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, some entertainment – magician/caricaturist, Christmas decorations, Limousine/party bus for 15 to get them from Basingstoke to Henley and back, Christmas crackers and presents.

Gini said the charity is open to any ideas and donations. If you want to help, visit www.bucketlistwishes.org.uk/donate or get in touch with the volunteers through text/WhatsApp on 07951 400055.
