A SILENT fireworks display meant residents at a Basingstoke care home were able to celebrate Bonfire Night this year.
Staff and residents at Ashcombe House in Worting Road gathered in the home's conservatory as they watched the colourful, low-noise fireworks fill the night sky.
Because of the cold weather, residents decided they would like their own display at home this year.
Ivy Gibson a resident at Ashcombe house said: “The fireworks were fantastic and it brought back so many memories of Bonfire Nights through the years.”
For some residents it was the very first time they had been to see fireworks.
