AS we step into Christmas, with just under two months until the Father Christmas lays presents under our trees, the question on everyone's lips is, 'will he be coming to Basingstoke this year?'

Of course, the answer is yes. In fact, Father Christmas will be stopping off all over Hampshire throughout November and December, but hurry, bookings are required, although some can be made on the day of visit, which is subject to remaining availability.

While dates are already being booked fast, the Gazette have put together a list of five places you can meet Father Christmas this year.

Festival Place, Basingstoke

Arriving Saturday 6 November at 9.00am, Father Christmas will be at Festival Place in Basingstoke.

Each booking lasts up to 19 minutes and holds a capacity of up to four children.

There is a fee of £5 to visit Father Christmas and receive a gift, and while you may take your own photos, professional photos can also be purchased

Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth

This December 4, Father Christmas will be hosting breakfast at the famous Spinnaker Tower in Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth.

You will have the chance to enjoy a continental style breakfast with Father Christmas and his elves in the Spinnaker Kitchen and Bar overlooking the harbour, with a closing date of December 24.

Children will also be able to write their wish list letters to Father Christmas, before having the opportunity to meet the the main man themselves.

The package also includes the opportunity to take photos and receive presents, while having admission to the Spinnaker Tower, where you will be able to explore extraordinary views and experience the glass Sky Walk.

While limited numbers apply, Children will also be able to build their own cuddly toy with heart charms and birth certificates.

Two sessions a day are available, which are 9.00am and 10.30am.

Finkley Down, Andover

Open from 9.50am Saturday 4 December, children will be able to collect their Christmas Passports which will allow them to participate in all the fun ahead of the day. While collecting Christmas Passports, they will also be able to collect letters to send to Father Christmas through the Intergalactic Post Box using a special golden ball.

Once the activity is complete, elves will stamp their passport, ready to arrive at the Kitchen ready to meet Mother Christmas, where they will be able to decorate their own festive treats.

Children will also get to meet Father Christmas, make magical reindeer food, and collect their presents.

Marwell Zoo, Winchester

This December, Father Christmas will be coming to Marwell Zoo on weekends and select dates.

Sat on his comfy chair, you can find Father Christmas at festive scenes outside Café Graze and inside the Gift Shop ready to say hello and receive your Christmas letters.

From Wednesday 1 December, there will also be magical decorations and festive scenes on display around the park, from an enchanting princess carriage to Santa’s sleigh and flying reindeer.

While it will not be a traditional grotto or meet and greet event, guests are welcome to take their photographs.

Paultons Park, Romsey

Taking place on select dates between Saturday 4 December to Thursday 23 December, Father Christmas will be coming to Paultons Park.

Arriving with Peppa, George and other Christmas characters, Christmas at Paultons Park will also feature magical illuminations

While having the chance to meet Father Christmas, children will also get to: see Peppa Pig World decorated for Christmas, visit Father Christmas' Wish Show, experience Frosty's Snowtime, see the Marvellous Musical Christmas Tree and meet Frosty the Snowman and Snow Princess
