Salisbury train crash: Twelve injuries as major incident declared

    - Two trains have crashed between Salisbury and Andover.
  • - Twelve people have been injured and the driver of one of the trains has been freed having earlier been trapped.
  • - 50 firefighters and several police officers, including helicopters including the coastguard, have been scrambled to the scene.
  • - The 1708 GWR service from Portsmouth Harbour to Bristol Temple Meads detailed after striking an object at Fisherton Tunnel in Salisbury, Network Rail said.
  • - Subsequently, the 1720 SWR service from London Waterloo to Honito collided with the Bristol train.
