MEMBERS of the public have been praised for snatching keys from an alleged drink driver on a Hampshire motorway.
Police have praised 'brave' members of the public who grabbed keys and then wrestled with the driver of a car spotted swerving on the M3.
They are then said to have restrained the driver who had been travelling on the southbound carriageway.
A post on social media from the county roads policing unit, said: "Brave work from members of the public who grabbed the keys and restrained the driver of a car which was all over the southbound M3. Driver arrested after blowing 101 (3x limit) at the roadside. #IfYouCantStandUpWhyWouldYouDriveACar."
The Daily Echo has asked Hampshire Constabulary for more details.
