THERE are delays on a major road in Basingstoke after it was cleared following a single-vehicle collision.
A339 was blocked on Hackwood Road southbound after a car collided with a barrier between A30 Ringway South and Grove Road.
A spokesperson for the Hampshire Constabulary told the Gazette: "We were called at 11.48am today (Friday, October 15) to a single-vehicle collision in Hackwood Road, in which a car had collided with a barrier. Officers have attended."
According to Hampshire County Council's official traffic updates, the road is cleared now, although there are still delays on the approach road.

A Hampshire and Isle of Wight fire and rescue service spokesperson has confirmed that they were not called to the scene.
