ONE PERSON has been taken to hospital after a car collided with a cyclist on Worting Road at the Sandys Road roundabout this afternoon (Tuesday).
Police and South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) were called to the scene at 1.21pm.
A witness told the Gazette that there was a police car and a man wrapped in a foil blanket, but the road remained open.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary confirmed that the incident involved a car and a pedestrian.
Later a spokesperson for SCAS confirmed it involved a car and a cyclist.
The SCAS spokesperson added: “We were called this afternoon to a collision involving a cyclist and a car on Worting Road.
“We sent to the scene an ambulance crew who were assessing and treating one patient. Following treatment at the scene by our crew the patient was taken to North Hampshire Hospital.”
