Man jailed after stealing large amount of cash from Basingstoke property
A 29-year-old man from Basingstoke has been jailed for 18 months after stealing £1,900 in cash from a home.
Aaron Grant, from May Place, Basingstoke, entered a property on St Michael’s Road and stole a tin containing £1,900 in cash on Wednesday June, 30 this year.
Detective Sergeant Chris Whittington said: “We hope that this provides reassurance to local communities that we take crimes like this very seriously and investigate all available lines of enquiry to identify those responsible and bring them to justice.”
He admitted burglary at Winchester Crown Court, where he was jailed for 18 months on Thursday September, 16.
