THOUSANDS of people descended onto the usually quiet fields of Laverstoke Farm for Chris Evans’ CarFest.

The three-day event, described as a big village fete, brought together iconic cars and musicians with a variety of events from t-shirt printing to dance classes.

Among the stars that performed were Rick Astley, James Blunt, James Bay, All Saints, Texas and Gok Wan. The event also hosted some of the top DJs like Gok Wan, Kate Lawler and an epic DJ Battle from entertainers Dick and Dom.

CarFest, was created by Evans in 2012 with the purpose of raising funds for UK Children’s charities and over the past nine years has raised over £16 million for BBC Children in Need. The target for this year is to raise a further £2million for it’s charity partners - BBC Children In Need, Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, Rainbow Trust, Starlight Children’s Foundation and Teenage Cancer Trust.
