Basing View has yet again been turned into a filming location as a new shooting crew descended on the town yesterday (Friday).

Pictures taken at the scene show caravans, trailers, vans and other associated vehicles at the location.

Although the name of the film is not revealed, a code used at the site by the film crew reads ‘DVHR’.

The Gazette understands it could be a code for the upcoming Amazon six-part series The Devil’s Hour, but it is not confirmed.

Produced by Hartswood Films (Dracula, Sherlock), The Devil’s Hour started shooting in June and is expected to hit screens in early 2022.

It stars Jessica Raine, Peter Capaldi and Starstruck’s Nikesh Patel and tells the story of a woman who finds herself waking up at 3.33am every day.

According to various reports, the code DVHR was also used for filming in Surrey in June and Aldershot in July.

The production crew behind the latest filming is Bristol Television and Film Services.

The Gazette contacted the crew for a comment, but they said they are not allowed to disclose what is being filmed at the location.

Basingstoke has recently become a popular location for filming.

In March, a pool of international stars – including Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas – were in Basingstoke to shoot their upcoming Amazon film Citadel.

Citadel is described as an “epic global spy thriller” also starring Ashleigh Cummings.

In July, another film crew moved onto Basing View thought to be shooting a new “big budget” series for Apple TV.
