HAMPSHIRE police are appealing for witnesses following reports of an attempted burglary in Preston Candover.

At 11.04pm, on Monday (August 30), officers were called to reports of two men in a silver Honda CRV trying to gain access to a part of a property on Alresford Road.

They were disturbed and fled the scene.

Thankfully nothing was reported stolen.

A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: "This incident was reported to us five days after an attempted burglary at a property on Winchester Road near Kingsclere.

"Again, the suspects were disturbed before fleeing the scene and nothing was reported stolen. At this time, there is nothing to suggest both incidents are linked.

"We would like to take this opportunity to remind homeowners to immediately phone the police if they see any suspicious activity near their property."
