A BASINGSTOKE care home held its Summer Fair on Saturday (August 21), raising more than £500 for charity.
The Mayor of Basingstoke, Cllr Onnalee Cubitt, opened the event at Barchester’s St Thomas care home in Oakridge.
She tweeted: “Had a lovely time at @Barchester_care St Thomas opening their Summer Fete, where I was lucky to meet many of the residents and their relations.
“It was a warm and happy atmosphere, with wonderful stalls and entertainment. We were looked after beautifully - thank you.”
The home’s team added: “Thank you to everyone for supporting us on Saturday with our Summer Fair, we raised an amazing £517 for StMichaels Hospice so well done to all our relatives, visitors, staff and the team who worked so hard organising the day.”
