A TEENAGER has been arrested after being found with a knife and Class A drugs in Winklebury last week.
At 7.18pm on Friday (August 13), two plain-clothed police officers from Basingstoke’s High Harm Team stopped a 17-year-old on Winklebury Way while on patrol.
A search found the boy to be in possession of Class A drugs, a knife and a “large amount” of cash.
He was arrested on suspicion of possessing a knife in a public place and on possessing controlled Class A drugs with intent to supply.
He was further arrested on suspicion of resisting a person assisting a constable, after failing to cooperate with a member of the public helping police in their execution of duty.
The teenager has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
