Downton Abbey's six series are now on Netflix UK
THE borough's very own Downton Abbey is now available to view in its entirety on Netflix UK and Ireland.
The popular ITV period drama finished airing in 2015, followed by a cinema follow-up in 2019 and the second film due in March 2022.
Filmed at Basingstoke and Deane's Highclere Castle and starring names such as Hugh Bonneville, Maggie Smith and Jim Carter, the series followed the fortunes of the Crawley family, and the people who work for them, from the sinking of The Titanic through the First World War and beyond.
It was added to Netflix UK and Ireland yesterday, Sunday August 15, two months after US fans were able to stream the series on the platform.
